June 19th: Sunday School For Sinners feat.: Ramblegrass
Friday, June 10, 2011 at 2:38PM
Run a little Ricky Skaggs, a little Beatles and a little Grateful Dead through a big 'ol still, and you'd end up with a jar full of Ramblegrass.
Calling themsleves "jamgrass," the band -- Bob Edwards, guitar; Phil Myers, mandolin; Carla Bailey, banjo; and Jack Ray, bass -- has been together three years, performing everything from traditionals to covers to reggae songs in a soulful old-timey style. Their down-home repertoire includes songs like the Rolling Stones' Wild Horses, Buck Owens' Act Naturally the Beatles' I Just Seen a Face. The group even performed at a Beatles tribute last year at Skipper's Smokehouse. - Tbt*
