On Tap:Hofbräu Maibock at the Independent Bar Tampa

Light mahogany to dark amber in color, with a thick eggshell colored head, this is Munich's oldest Maibock and it has a history dating back to 1614. Maibocks are brewed to bock strength, but traditionally have more hop in the flavor than a regular bock, and this brew is one of the finest examples of the tradition. At 7.2% Alcohol By Volume, the Hofbräu Maibock has a initial sweetness that is cut into at just the right time by a spicy hop flavor, and a warm maltiness that has a dry finish on account of perfectly contrasted carbonation.
Traditionally Maibocks are available as spring is coming in Bavaria, with the crisp hops hinting at the clear blue skies of summer and the warm malts comforting the fact that winter has barely departed. A true seasonal beer, this Maibock is not available year round and is only available for a limited time at the Independent Bar Tampa. Come and enjoy this amazing brew while it lasts!
