On Tap: Chocolate Oak Aged Yeti Imperial Stout
Thursday, June 21, 2012 at 1:04PM
In this excellent incarnation of Yeti Imperial Stout from Great Divide Brewery; they've toned down the hops to allow coca nibs to give some pleasing bitterness, and vanilla attributes of the oak-aging gives a combined aroma of a gourmet chocolate bar. A dash of cheyenne keeps things lively, adding some additional complexity to taste but also a subtle warmth to the finish. Pours a pitch black color with a tan head. Aroma is super chocolate forward, with a hint of cayenne, some roasted malt, coffee, oak, vanilla and some dark fruit notes.
ABV: 9.5%
Current rating at rate beer: 100/100
