Winterbraun seasonal English Brown Ale from Lost Coast Brewery on Tap!

The Independent Bar Tampa keeps several Lost Coast brews cycling on tap, and Fall to Wintertime brings us Winterbraun, Lost Coast Brewry's take on an English Brown Ale.

6.5% ABV keeps things reasonable, and roasted chocolate and caramel malts give it a rich taste. Czech Saaz Hops contribute to a spiced flavor and aroma.

But how does it taste? Excellent. An easy to drink brown ale, it lacks the cloistering sweetness that some of the higher alcohol content seasonal offerings tend to have, and finishes clean in the mouth, without a strong after taste.

The pour is medium brown, and sits lighter in the mouth than you would expect from this sort of ale, It has a nice light carbonation that pours a small white head, and adds to the taste, and the silky mouth feel.

A very drinkable English Brown Ale. Available on tap while it lasts at the Independent Bar Tampa.

Delirium Noel: the Strong Dark Ale of the Holiday Season.

To many devoted to seasonal beers, the holidays from late october to January 1st means a cornucopia of different flavors and tastes of vintage beers of many varieties and scope.

Delirium Noel is a Strong Dark Ale from Brouwerij Huyghe in Belgium.

This ale pours a deep ruby with a small off white head. The Aroma is very fruity with berries and spices, there is also a hint of alcohol to it (10%avb), one that warms and packs a pleasant kick. The flavor is very sweet, and fruity, including apples, oranges, and some grapes. The finish is nice, with a little alcohol warming and a mild bitterness at the end.

A great seasonal Ale that has a signature flavor.

Available in Bottle or currently on Tap as of this posting at the Independent Bar Tampa.
